The goal of this collaborative project was to create a design system for a magazine, design our own spread and cover within our guidelines, and then create custom type for the title of our article. I used an article from the podcast
99% Invisible, and was inspired by the dark, fantastical stories that came from the satanic panic. To create the custom type for this piece, I mixed sawdust and hand sanitizer, shaped the mixture into letters, set them on fire on a cookie sheet, and took pictures of the result.
