RESTAURANT BRANDING
For this project, I was given two starting points: a restaurant type (food truck) and a country (Namibia). What made this challenge so exciting was the opportunity to deeply embed a sense of place into the design process. Namibia’s cuisine is uniquely shaped by its geography and history; it's a desert country bordering the ocean, with culinary influences from indigenous cultures as well as German colonial rule. Dishes often feature game meats, fresh seafood, sausages, and beer.
Visually, I drew strong inspiration from the traditional dress of the Herero tribe. Their clothing, bold in color and rich in quilt-like patterns, became a central influence in the branding. The result is a visual identity that feels both grounded in heritage and vibrant with modern energy.
